Palm TX
Look's like I've not updated here in a while. I've been through quite a few Palms since the HandEra I talk about below! Anyway, I bought a Palm TX recently and it's time to write about the bad points.
Sony Ericsson Phone
This time I've gone for a non-Seimens phone! Sadly all the current Seimens' are a bit underspec and don't look that good either :-(
This phone took me a long while to get used to the appearance of, but I do quite like it now.
Nice features: Bluetooth, GPRS, vCard, Colour.
HandEra 330
This is the successor to the TRGPro, from HandEra. I love it. The screen had the largest physically on any PalmOS device when it came out (it has a 1.5 times higher resolution; which can be a pain sometimes but on the whole is really worth it). Maybe the top-of-the-line Sony devices beat it for screen dimensions now. I use it for everything. I synchronise my address book with majordomo to keep all my mailing lists in sync!
I have a Palm Portable Keyboard to go with it, which is lovely.
Rio 800
When choosing a replacement for my old MP3 player (which was stolen), I picked the Rio 800 based on the reviews of the previous versions. It *doesn't* accept any standard memory cards, which is the only bad point. However, with 128MB built in, I find I don't really need it. It is USB, works fine under Linux. Has a great LCD and backlight, and even has a built in MIC to record (not encode though!).
